Young motorist who parked in disabled parking bay in Tullamore receives driving ban FILE PIC
A motorist who parked in a disabled parking spot also failed to display an N (novice driver) plate
In his evidence Garda Kieran Fitzpatrick said that Michael Sweeney (20), Arden View, Tullamore was parking in a disabled bay at Market Square, Tullamore on September 24, 2021. He had his engine on at the time.
Garda Fitzpatrick issued a fixed charge penalty notice which Mr Sweeney failed to pay.
The defendant had one previous conviction for violent disorder on May 10, 2022 when he received the probation act.
Judge Andrew Cody fined Mr Sweeney €100 and disqualified him for three months. For the non display of an N plate he fined him €100.
For having no insurance he disqualified him from driving for two years and for not having a driving licence €100 and disqualified him for one year.
