A number of customers had to be turned away as the businesses affected worked to find out the cause of the fault.
Offaly Fire & Rescue Services have confirmed the fire to the Offaly Express and a source told us that Tullamore Fire Brigade has now dealt with the blaze.
ESB workers arrived at the scene at 1.20pm, and the ESB Networks have told the Offaly Express that, "Power has been restored to anyone that lost supply."
