Huge fault knocks out power for 1,500 Edenderry houses

Further power outages reported in Offaly

While ESB crews have fixed a major fault affecting 2,500 Edenderry this morning, further faults have now occurred around the North Offaly town.

A huge fault near the Boyne Bridge this afternoon has cut power for over 1,400 customers. The ESB say this fault may not be fixed until 5pm this Friday evening.

55 customers in the St. Mary's Road area have been without power since Thursday afternoon with an estimated restoration time of 8pm on Friday.

Meanwhile, further faults on the Tullamore side of the town are affecting over 400 customers in the Ballyfore and on the Clonbullogue road.

ESB crews are out trying to fix those faults and have said they hope to have restored power this afternoon.
