Iconic American fast food chain Wendy's is to open a restaurant in Tullamore creating 60 new jobs.
Corrib Oil has today confirmed that Tullamore Retail Park in Tullamore will be home to the second Wendy’s restaurant in Ireland, with the new Midlands location expected to open this May. The announcement marks the next milestone in its development agreement with The Wendy’s Company.
The new Wendy’s restaurant will create 60 new jobs, with recruitment now underway across a range of roles. Applicants interested in joining the Tullamore restaurant team can find out more at www.wendys.ie. The Tullamore location will also include a drive-thru, responding to growing customer demand for speed, convenience and choice.
The announcement follows the successful opening of Ireland’s first Wendy’s restaurant at Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork last October, which has seen strong customer demand since opening and created more than 60 jobs.
Tullamore Retail Park is conveniently located just inside the N52 ring road, five minutes from Tullamore town centre and approximately 10 minutes from the M6 Dublin–Galway motorway. The site is easily accessible by car and public transport, offers free on-site parking, and provides a range of in-store shopping options, making it a convenient destination for customers from across the Midlands.

As with the Cork restaurant, the Tullamore Wendy’s will serve a menu built around 100% fresh Irish beef and hand-breaded chicken burgers and tenders, sourced from Irish-based food companies Kepak and Western Brand. The menu will also feature the brand’s best-known items, including its famous square hamburgers and the iconic Frosty dessert. Breakfast options, wraps and kids’ meals will also be available when the restaurant opens later this spring.
