5: Right half back – Cormac Egan (Tullamore)
Cormac Egan was one of the easiest selections on this team and we didn't have to waste two seconds deliberating over it. A terrific example to all young players of doing what needs to be done to prosper at the highest level, he is one of the most exciting footballers in the country. He has been a revelation since going to the half back line, the new rules have suited him every bit as much as anticipated and he was superb for Tullamore all season. Him and Cathal Flynn are two of the selections above all reproach on this team.
