The Offaly Senior Hurling Championship Team of the Year 2025

The Offaly Senior Hurling Championship Team of the Year 2025

IT has been a very good Offaly Senior Hurling Championship with a lot of excellent games and some great individual performances. Kilcormac-Killoughey won the Sean Robbins Cup for the third year in a row but were asked the most serious of questions by Birr in the semi-final and Shinrone in the final. The following is my Senior Hurling Championship team of the year – it only takes into account in the Offaly club campaign and not county level. A few players have been picked slightly out of their regular place but in the modern game, positions are nowhere near as rigid as they once were and a player can crop up all over the place. It was a very difficult team to pick and purely a matter of opinion – you could easily pick three different teams and players such as Kilcormac-Killoughey's Conor Slevin and Jack Screeney, Belmont's Darragh Flynn, Shinrone's Dara Maher, Tullamore's Cormac Egan, Birr's Eoghan Cahill and Ballinamere's Dan Bourke could very easily have got in.
