Driving ban and fine imposed for non-display of tax on car in Offaly
A six-month driving ban and a fine of €750 were imposed on a man in his absence at Tullamore District Court.
There was no appearance for James McInerney (35), Castlepark, Clonakenny, Roscrea when a summons for non-display of tax at Frankfort Drive, Frankfort, Co Offaly on October 31 last was called.
Garda Janis Nolan, Roscrea Garda Station, told Judge Andrew Cody that Mr McInerney had been personally notified about the prosecution after a fixed charge penalty notice had not been paid.
Garda Nolan said the man had 58 previous convictions, including some for theft but 35 of them were for road traffic offences.
He was not disqualified at the time of the latest prosecution.
