Shane Lowry is right in contention going into weekend at the prestigious Memorial Tournament on PGA Tour. It is one of the signature events on the PGA Tour calendar

In difficult conditions on Friday, he shot a level par round to sit on three under par after 72 holes in a tie for fifth place. 

In his round on Friday, Shane had two birdies, two bogeys and 14 pars to sit four shots behind leaders Nick Taylor and Ben Griffin with 72 holes to go. 

Akshay Bhatia sits in third on five under par with world number one Scottie Schefler on four under going into the weekend. 

Shane will be in the third last group out on Saturday alongside Sam Burns at 7.48pm Irish time.
