Offaly captain gets to grips with Tailteann Cup ahead of start of competition this weekend

Offaly captain Lee Pearson was on hand at Croke Park this week to officially launch the 2025 Tailteann Cup.

With the iconic stadium as a backdrop, Pearson lifted the trophy for a photo shoot and having lifted the Division 3 trophy earlier this year, the Edenderry club man will be hoping for another trip up the steps in Croke Park in July.

Designed to give rising counties a meaningful championship path, the Tailteann Cup is now firmly embedded in the GAA landscape.

It also looks like the Offaly captain was being very careful with the handles on the Tailteann Cup given what happened with the Division 3 trophy when he raised that high.
