How strong is Lee? Handle comes off trophy as Offaly captain lifts if high
Watching the Offaly Senior Footballers in the league this spring, there is no doubt they have been working hard on their strength and conditioning.
That all came to fruition on Sunday as they defeated Kildare in the Division 3 League Final in impressive fashion in Croke Park.
Offaly's pace caused problems for Kildare all day but there was an even more impressive show of strength in the Hogan Stand after the game.
As Offaly captain Lee Pearson lifted the trophy, the handle came off in his hand. How strong is the Offaly corner-back???
Anyone know someone who is handy with a soldering iron?
Watch the moment the handle came off
Congratulations @Offaly_GAA some strength and conditioning by @Eanna_Shalvey to pull a cup apart like that #GAA #Offaly pic.twitter.com/SD6X5r9pxV
