Gardai in Offaly are following a definite line of inquiry after an unusual item stolen from fast food restaurant

A card payment terminal in a fast food restaurant in Birr was stolen by what is described as an 'intoxicated customer' last week.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 6, when a man stole the terminal from the restaurant's countertop.

The Gardaí subsequently recovered the device and are following a definite line of inquiry.
