Considerable damage caused after car does doughnuts on GAA pitch in Offaly
Considerable damage was caused to a GAA pitch in Offaly recently when a vehicle entered the pitch.
According to gardai, at some stage between Tuesday and Thursday, January 28 to 30, a vehicle entered St Rynagh's Football Club on Birr Road, Cloghan and performed a series of doughnuts, badly damaging the pitch.
Extensive damage was caused to the pitch which caused considerable upset locally.
Gardai say they have harvested CCTV footage and are following a definite line of inquiry.
The club posted a video of the damage caused on social media noting that it was the second time in the space of a few months that it had happened
The club added, "if anyone has any CCTV or DashCam footage at around 5.15am that morning we’d really appreciate if you could get in touch with us."
