New €250,000 plans will see new market stall area added to square in Offaly
SEVERAL members of the local residents group in the Market Square area of Birr met recently to discuss the Council's revised design for the proposed €250,000 upgrading project of the Square.
The residents were told they will be losing eight car parking spaces but they will be gaining a new market stall area which will bring more life to that part of the town.
The residents agreed to back the new design.
Work was meant to begin in the second quarter of 2024 but now the Council is saying work should begin in early 2025.
