Gardai investigating early morning arson attack on house in Offaly

It’s believed a petrol bomb was thrown at the property in Edenderry

Offaly Gardaí are investigating an arson attack on a house in the county in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred at St Theresa’s Terrace in Edenderry, Co Offaly at around 1am this morning.  It’s believed a petrol bomb was thrown at the property. 

Gardaí confirmed they are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at a domestic residence in Edenderry, Co Offaly in the early hours of this morning, Monday, July 29.

“The incident occurred at approximately 1am and local fire services attended. No injuries have been reported at this time,” gardaí said. 

They said the scene is currently held for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.
