Eddie Fitzpatrick topped the poll in the Edenderry Area and was re-elected with a massive 1,998 votes for a quota of just 1,251. The farmer from Cloneyhurke is a political veteran and will be one of eight Fianna Fail councillors. He was first elected in 2004 when he represented the Progressive Democrats.
