After a long wait for the result of the sixth count, John Clendennen was eventually the third councillor elected in the Birr Area. First elected in 2014 when he stood in place of his father Percy, John Clendennen was returned again in 2019. He was just 150 votes short of the quota after the first count but had to wait until Monday afternoon to get across the line.
