KILCORMAC-Killoughey and Shamrocks GAA Clubs won the big two prizes when the Offaly GAA clubs of the year were announced at annual Convention last week.

As expected Kilcormac-Killoughey were announced by chairman Michael Duignan as the adult club of the year. Kilcormac-Killoughey had a superb 2023, winning the Senior and Senior “B” Hurling Championships as well as the Junior Football Championship.

Shamrocks were named as the underage club of the year, beating off stiff opposition from Tullamore. Tullamore won the U-13 and 15 Football Championship titles in 2023 as well as losing in the Minor Football and U-13 Hurling Championship finals.

Shamrocks, however, were honoured for a superb 2023. The highlight was winning the U-13 Hurling Championship, a rare hurling title in an “A” grade for them while they also won the Minor “B” Football Championship.

Ballinamere were named as the Scor club of the year.
