Nicole Drought Celebrates after crossing the line to win the Oulton Park 5 Hour Endurance Race for Pro-AM Racing
ROSCREA'S Nicole Drought became the first woman to win a UK Enduro KA race at Oulton Park last weekend.
The success came courtesy of an inspired two hour final stint for the Pro-AM Racing team, once she took over from team mates Jason Roberts and Will Hillyard.
Charging up from tenth in treacherous conditions, Nicole tracked down leader Teddy Wilson before snatching the lead with a brave run down the outside into Cascades corner. F4 racer Wilson fought back but was unable to breach Drought’s defence and the pair crossed the line just a few tenths apart after five hours of racing.
“It's great to be on the top step once again in 2023 but that was a tough race. I never stopped pushing and once I took the lead I just went defensive”, Nicole said after the race.

“As ever, the car and the Pro-Am Racing team's strategy were second to none. I have to thank them for giving me the tools to do the job. Also thanks to all my supporters and commercial partners, I couldn't do this without them."
Nicole also leads the 2023 Open Clubman Irish Rallycross Championship, which returns to Mondello Park on November 18/19.
The former student of Coláiste Phobal in Roscrea returns to the UK to race at Brands Hatch later this month, driving the EnduroKA and a modified Honda Civic on the same weekend.
Nicole is backed by Gem Oils, ITM Digital, Siltex Safety and Joe Mallon Motor Group.
Nicole is daughter of well known Roscrea mechanic and fellow racer Owain Drought and is a previous recipient of a Roscrea People of the Year award and is closely followed by fans in her hometown.
