Flooding in the Convent View/Callary St area of Tullamore on Sunday evening
Torrential rain on Sunday evening has caused severe flooding at a well known blackspot in Tullamore.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the Convent View and Callary St areas of Tullamore where there is extensive flooding at the corner adjacent to the Fiona Pender Memorial.
Action isbeing taken to lower the flood waters by firms acting on behalf of the local authority.
The area is prone to flash flooding and the problem has been highlighted by local residents and politicians for many years.
