List of Offaly players set to play GAA in the North America this summer
With both the Offaly hurlers and Offaly footballers seasons finished for 2023, nine Offaly GAA players will be heading stateside to play this summer with the hope of experiencing the country as well as playing a bit of GAA too.
July 1 marked the deadline for transfers to North America, and there is a strong Offaly representation set to ply their trade across the Atlantic Ocean.
Nine players from six different clubs will be heading across the pond to play all across America with one heading to Canada.
Three of the players are heading to one club in Chicago with two heading all the way out west to play for the same club in San Diego in California.
The Offaly players heading to North America are:
Fionn Dempsey, Bracknagh to St Patrick's, North East
Shane O'Brien, Clonbullogue to Aidan McAnespies, North East
David O'Toole Greene, Shamrocks to St Finnians, Canada
Ciaran Burns, Tullamore to Padraig Pearses, Chicago
