Gardai caught a driver drinking beer while driving in the Midlands on Friday night
Gardai say that while conducting a checkpoint in Mountmellick, Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle and found the driver drinking bottles of beer behind the wheel while driving.
Gardai say the driver was arrested at the scene and was found to be over the legal limit.
The driver was charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
