REVEALED: Huge prize money Shane Lowry won with second place at Pebble Beach Pro-Am

The Clara golfer picked up a huge cheque after finishing second to friend Rory McIlroy on Sunday
Shane Lowry was in fine form on Sunday on the PGA Tour as the Clara man finished second behind friend Rory McIlroy in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am event.
Both Irish golfers went into the final round playing in the final grouping alongside Saturday night leader and Ryder Cup teammate Sebb Straka.
However, the Irish pair had too much for the Austrian and both passed him during the final round on Sunday evening, picking up some huge prize money in the process.
McIlroy shot a final round 66 to claim victory on 21 under par while Lowry shot a 68 that included four birdies on the back nine to claim outright second.
As a result of his victory, McIlroy picked up a cheque for $3.6m dollars, or around €3.5m. Lowry walked away with around €2.1m, not bad for a week's work.
McIlroy and Lowry had made headlines earlier in the tournament when they both his holes in one. It was Lowry's third hole in one on the PGA Tour and the ace sparked fantastic celebrations.
