Shane Lowry hit an incredible hole in one on one of the most iconic holes in golf at the Pebble Beach Pro Am on the PGA Tour on Thursday.
Teeing it up on the famous downhill seventh hole, Shane landed his tee shot feet from the pin and the slope of the green did the rest as the ball rolled perfectly into the hole. It was the latest in a list of holes in one on iconic courses as he has also aced the 16th at Augusta and the 17th at Sawgrass.
The hole in one on what was his third last hole moved him up to six under par and that's where he finished in a tie for eighth place just two off the lead.
It wasn't the only hole in one on the opening round as Shane's Olympic team-mate Rory McIlroy also hit an ace with his shot flying straight in the hole. McIlroy also finished his round on six under par, two behind the leader Russell Henley
