Quarter-final line-ups decided in Offaly football championships

Shamrocks play Ballycommon and Edenderry have Bracknagh in the quarter-finals.

THE quarter-final line-ups were decided when the final round of group games took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel Senior, Senior “B” and Intermediate Football Championships at the weekend.

Fixtures will be made for them this week but clubs will have a three week break to prepare as the next two weekends are devoted to hurling.

In senior football, the standout fixture is a quarter-final between two of the main contenders, Rhode and Ferbane – Rhode were beaten by champions, Tullamore while Ferbane drew with Edenderry and were edged out for second place on scoring difference.

The quarter-final winners involving the group winners will be kept apart in the semi-finals in all grades:

Senior, Tullamore and Shamrocks;

Senior B, Daingean and Cappincur;

Intermediate, St Brigid's and Erin Rovers.

The pairings are:

Senior Football Championship

Shamrocks v Ballycommon;

Edenderry v Bracknagh;

Tullamore v Durrow;

Rhode v Ferbane.

Senior “B” Football Championship

Daingean v Ballycumber;

Clara v Tubber;

Gracefield v Clonbullogue;

Cappincur v Walsh Island.

Intermediate Football Championship

Erin Rovers v Raheen;

Ballinagar v Kilcormac-Killoughey;

Tullamore v Ferbane;

St Brigid's v St Rynagh's.
