Offaly under 20s celebrate their victory over Wexford in Carlow on Wednesday night.
OFFALY'S All-Ireland under 20 hurling final meeting with Cork has been fixed for FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles on Sunday June 4th.
The game will have a 3pm throw in time and will form part of a double header with the All-Ireland minor hurling final, which has a 1pm throw in. The participants in the minor final will be decided tomorrow (Saturday) when the two semi-finals take place involving Clare v Kilkenny and Galway v Cork.
The under 20 final had initially been scheduled for Saturday May 27th as a double header with the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Offaly and Carlow but with Charlie Mitchell, Joe Hoctor and Sam Bourke all involved with the two Offaly squads, Offaly had sought a switch for the under 20 decider, which has now been granted.
The Joe McDonagh Cup Final will take place at Croke Park on Saturday May 27th with a 4.45pm throw in and it will be televised live on RTE. The under 20 final will be shown on TG4.
Ofaly quaified for the under 20 final with a thrilling victory over Wexford in Carlow on Wednesday night while Cork won the Munster title on Monday night with a narrow victory over Clare in Limerick.
The stage is now set for a great final and with the date and venue now confirmed, the build up can begin in earnest.
