Offaly children build igloo as they prepare for Storm Emma

A group of children in Edenderry made the most of their day off school as they set about building a fully fledged igloo in Edenderry on Wednesday.

There wasn't a screed of planning permission sought but yet they managed to construct a fairly sturdy looking structure (Not that we're volunteering to stay in it overnight!)

Cian Tyrell, along with his friends Callum, Laura and Aaron Dunne spent hours on Wednesday building the Siberian-style shelter.
