Green conscious students: Pupils from national school in Offaly plant native woodland

Pupils from Scoil Bhríde Boys National School, Tullamore, are pictured with Barbara Sullivan from the Heritage in Schools programme and their teacher Seán McCann following the planting of a new Hare’s Corner heritage orchard and native woodland.

The project was made possible thanks to the Burrenbeo Trust, who supplied five Irish heritage apple trees along with 50 native Irish-grown bare-root trees for planting.
