TULLAMORE Credit Union and St Brigid’s Credit Union, Clara proudly joined forces to deliver their first-ever collaborative initiative: a series of events promoting Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles and sustainable living. These events aimed to educate and inspire members, local communities, and businesses on the importance of ESG practices and their positive impact on society and the environment.
The ESG roadshow saw the launch of a new loan product at both credit unions called ECO Energy Efficient Loan specifically designed for Any form of insulation - attic wall or floor, form of external window or door upgrade, renewable energy source e.g. Pellet Stove, Solar Panels etc, Electric or Hybrid Car or Retrofitting your home (Term & Conditions Apply). The ESG Roadshows were held on Monday, 29th September at Tuar Ard, Moate, and Tuesday, 18th November at the Tullamore Court Hotel. Both events featured networking opportunities with local stakeholders, exhibitors, and guest speakers who shared insights on ESG principles, corporate responsibility, and practical steps toward sustainability.
Attendees explored ESG products and services offered by both credit unions and connected with local suppliers of green solutions. Exhibitors included Eco Homes Tullamore, Flynn Heat Recovery, Walsh Brothers, Taylor Made Plastering, and AEI. Guest speakers featured Mary McIntire from Offaly County Council, Niall Condron-BER assessor, Darren Buckley AEI and Simon Byrne, principal of Scoil Eoin Phoil.

The Eco Living Roadshow focused on practical ways to live sustainably, including how Eco Loans can help members make energy-efficient upgrades, reduce carbon footprints, and contribute to a greener future.
