Offaly mental health group to host poignant film screening
The Offaly Minding Our Mental Health group are inviting the public to join them for a poignant film screening
as part of World Mental Health Day on Tuesday, October 9.
The screening of 'Call Me Crazy' takes place at 7pm in the Tullamore Court Hotel.
The film ‘Call Me Crazy’ is a compilation of 5 short stories with each title character experiencing a different mental illness; schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
It explores the impact and stigma of mental illness on the individual and their family member.
The showing of the film will be followed by an opportunity to discuss the various themes, impact and portrayal of the characters with a panel of representatives from the HSE Mental Health Services, Jigsaw Offaly, Shine, See Change Ambassador and a Family Member.
This is a free event and all are welcome. Refreshments will be available and Offaly Minding Our Mental Health look forward to welcoming you.
