This year's event will be held this Friday November 6th in Corrigan's Corner House

FOR the last thirty years or so the annual evening of communal poetry reading, 'Readings From The Pallet', has taken place in The Corner House, with genial hosts George Smith, Brian Johnson, Seán Corrigan et alia at the helm.

This year's event will be held this Friday November 6th in Corrigan's Corner House kicking off at approximately 8.30pm. This special celebratory presentation of The Pallet promises to be a bumper edition full of humour, local banter, pathos, lyricism, celebration and whatever you're having yourself!!

A huge cross section of Banagher folk have contributed their scripts, recitations, songs and writings for over three decades.

When a volume representative of these contributions was collated by David Boylan for the 25th anniversary in 2018 there was almost one hundred writers of all ages and genders from all parts of the town and surrounds.

It is a great testimony to the strength and popularity of The Pallet that not even extremities of the Covid epidemic halted its progress and survival.

Everybody is welcome to attend and participate in the celebrations. Fáilte roimh cách chuig an tríochadú eagrán de Léamha Ón Sráideog.
