The Roscrea Trailblazers invite you to explore the Slieve Bloom’s stunning Glenafelly Valley

Now that we are finally getting our longer evenings, Roscrea’s popular hiking Club are back to some walks they couldn't do during the winter months and exploring what Ireland has to offer.

Last Friday night they had a very enjoyable walk on the Brittas Lake Loop at Clonaslee. Well done to everyone that made the effort.

“Our walk this Friday night, 29th of May is the Glenafelly Loop in the Slieve Blooms, a walk we have not done for quite a while. Distance: 7.5 Km, Time: 2 hours and Graded: Moderate. Meeting at the Glenafelly Trail Head Carpark at 7pm”, the club said.

“The best of luck to our members heading to Austria this week, stay safe and enjoy. We would encourage anyone thinking of taking up hiking for better health or as a way to destress to please make contact with the number below”.

To join the group and to see what the club has to offer please follow the contact details below.

If you would like to join any of their night walks or weekends away, you can contact Cathal on (086) 3399 193 and receive updates through WhatsApp. You will be made feel very welcome.
