Conquer the Devil's Bit with the local hiking club
Fresh from Offaly’s beautiful Lough Boora the Club are headed for the Devil’s Bit this week
The longer evenings are coming to an end and Roscrea Trail Blazers are now back to hiking with head torches, which always give a different perspective when night walking.
The walk last Friday night was the Lough Boora Parklands Loop - a perfect night for walking with some new members joining them for a very enjoyable 9.5km walk under a star filled sky.
This Friday nights walk, October 23rd is the Devil's Bit Loop outside Tempelmore, a fantastic lowland mountain walk and one not to be missed. Distance: 5km, Grade: Moderate/strenuous, Time: two hours. Meeting at The Devil's Bit Carpark at 7pm. Please bring head/hand torch.
