Offaly singer Mundy has postponed his midsummer concert with Camille O’Sullivan due to ticket company, tickets.ie, declaring that liquidators have taken over the company.
The ticket company known for selling tickets to GAA matches, comedy acts and concerts declared last week that they were entering the liquidation process.
Mundy, famous for his rendition of ‘Galway Girl,’ took to Facebook to let fans know that the midsummer concert has been postponed.
He expressed his disappointment, stating that he was “very much looking forward” to the concert.
The post assures fans that a new concert date will be released and all previously purchased tickets will remain valid.
The concert venue, Church of the Holy Name, also released a statement announcing the concert has been postponed.
The venue stated that the liquidation of tickets.ie came as a “complete surprise,” and thanked ticket holders for their patience and understanding.
Tickets.ie has advised customers who purchased tickets for other events to wait for further communication from the relevant event promoter regarding their event.
