Offaly songstress Noreen Rabbette has finished as runner-up in the hit TG4 series, Glór Tire.

The series started with six aspiring country singers teaming up with famous mentors in a bid to become the genre's next star.

Clara teacher Noreen was paired with Mike Denver and sang her way all the way to Tuesday night's final, singing classic like Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 along the way.

She continued to impress the judges and the voting public who voted her runner-up along with Damien Davis.

The series was won by Belfast man John Rafferty who claimed the coveted title of Glór Tire 2019 winner and a cash prize of €5,000.

Noreen was gracious in defeat, commending John on his performances and reflecting on an incredible experience on the show.
