Offaly singer Dickie Donnelly has lent his voice to 9/11 tribute song, 17 years after two planes collided with the world famous twin towers in New York in a deadly terror attack.
The song, entitled, 'The Towers I'd Known So Well,' was written by New Yorker Gerry Grennan as he remembers the stain the terror attack left on his city.
The track is a re-write of Phil Coulter's 'The Town I Loved So Well' and captures the mood in the days and years after the attack that left almost 3,000 people dead.
Birr man Dickie Donnelly, who usually performs with the Route 66 Big Band, provides the vocals for the haunting song.
