IN PICTURES: Some absolutely fantastic images captured by Offaly photographers
World Photography Day was held on August 19 and to mark the occasion, Tullamore Camera Club members were asked to submit their favourite shot. The photographers came up with a stunning variety of eye catching images, including three striking ones taken in Offaly. Mary O'Grady ventured out to photograph the moon rising over Esker Bog, Rhode while Bridie Roe stepped into Daingean village centre to snap the steeple from an unusual angle. Joan McKenna went to Cloghan lake where she found a beautiful marmalade butterfly. Those are the first three images here.
