Quadruplets feature in Offaly Cumann na mBunscol football success
Kilclonfert GAA brothers in schools’ win
CAPPAGH National School's success last week in the Offaly Cumann na mBunscol Boys Football C football final was a source of great satisfaction to the clubs in its catchment area, Ballycommon and Kilclonfert but one family had reason to wear wider smiles than most.
The panel featured quadruplets from a well known Kilclonfert family with James, Luke, Charlie and Tom Kelly all collecting medals.
The Kelly's are a very well known Kilclonfert GAA family and the quadruples were born to Anita and David Kelly in February 2015.
Charlie Kelly was the captain as they defeated Cloneygowan NS in a very entertaining final.
Kilclonfert are one of the many clubs in Offaly grappling with population issues and demographics but are working hard to develop all underage talent in their catchment area – they fielded a team recently in a Daingean U16 7-a-side football tournament and will be trying to ensure that all young talent progresses into adult ranks in the next few years.
