Communication awards presented in Tullamore

A LARGE group of students from Tullamore Communication Studio attended an awards ceremony at the Tullamore Court Hotel on Sunday week last.

A LARGE group of students from Tullamore Communication Studio attended an awards ceremony at the Tullamore Court Hotel on Sunday week last.

The recipients, consisting of adults, teenagers and children, received a range of awards in the areas of Speech & Drama, Individual Acting and Communication Skills (Public Speaking).

Many received grade certificates from Trinity Guildhall, the famous London-based college of Music and Drama, whose qualifications are accredited in Ireland and throughout the world. Maire Nolan, in her address, congratulated all the recipients for their efforts and high standards achieved.

Kate Lalor, Geashill, and Ava Champ, Charleville Road Tullamore, received Scholarships for outstanding achievement. They were also presented with Trinity Guildhall medals.

The ceremony was followed by a reception for students, families and guests.
