ENTHUSIASTIC Ceili dancers from Laois and Offaly gathered in Durrow Hall recently for a fund-raising ceili in aid of the Offaly Wheelchair Association. The generous dancers raised an impressive total of €1,533.57 through admission fees and a raffle on the night.
All the raffle prizes were donated. Also the tickets were donated by Jim Delaney Clonaslee. The Committee would like to thank everyone for their support in raising vital funds for the Offaly Wheelchair Association, as it is a volunteer group.
Thanks to Durrow Ceili Club for running the event and for the use of the hall. To Martin Naughton for providing the music and all who attended.
It was a very entertaining night for all the participants as apart from the dancing and the raffle, Jimmy Casey made a speech which was the highlight of the night.
