There will be a meeting on Wednesday, February 1 in the High Chapparal, Geashill at 8.30pm sharp to discuss the upcoming vintage run on March 11.

Sponsorship cards will be distributed at the meeting. All proceeds being raised are for Downs’ Syndrome and Living Links (suicide bereavement and prevention). It is important that all members attend. New members also welcome and membership will be accepted on the night. 


Ballycommon get their season underway on Saturday, Feburary 4 at 2.30pm away to Ballinagar in Division 3 of the football league.

Monthly Draw January results: 1st 200 euro Christina Hoey, Ballycommon (seller Declan Scally), 2nd 100 euro Anna Malone, Rhode (seller Roger Scally). Tickets are available from any club member.

Membership is now due Family 30 euro, Adults 20 euro, Students 10 euro.

Those interested in working with St Vincents underage football teams are asked to contact Ollie Scally on or before Saturday, February 4. Mass in Ballycommon Church at 10am next Sunday is for a special intention.

First Friday Devotions

First Friday Devotions in Ballycommon Church on Friday, February 3 from 7.30pm to 9pm. Exposition, Stations of the Cross and Reflection. All are welcome.

Daingean – March 4 and April 1. Ballycommon – March 18 and Kilclonfert April 15.


To arrange a wedding three months notice is required for the Parish and for the Registrar of Marriages. From January 1 to book a Church of the Parish a deposit of €100 is required.


BARA has returned on Wednesdays at 2pm in Kilmurry Community Centre.

St Colman’s U-21

Parish side St Colmans U-21 footballers played a very uesful challenge against a very strong Westmeath side Caulry on Saturday last. That match will prove beneficial to the team for the upcoming U-21 championship.


Numbers drawn were 3, 9, 24 and 26. Bouns Number 19. Two match 3 winners were PJ Leavy and Dan Geraghty. Next week’s jackpot will be €17,000
