Big response to Tullamore parade

ORGANISERS of this year’s Tullamore St Patrick’s Day Parade are already receiving a large numbers of entries.

ORGANISERS of this year’s Tullamore St Patrick’s Day Parade are already receiving a large numbers of entries.

“The Tullamore parade is now very well established and has developed each year. People want to be part of it and it is a great opportunity for local groups and sports organisations to put themselves on public display and to show what they are offering to the community,” said Cllr Sean O’ Brien, Parade PRO.

The parade takes place on Thursday March 17, starting at 11.15am from the car park of the Bridge Centre. Groups are asked to be in place by 10.45am at the latest.

The theme this year is “Music in Tullamore Through the Ages” and the committee are asking musical groups of all kinds to take part.

Letters have gone out to all groups and the committee is asking everybody to start making their preparations now. There are as usual fabulous cash prizes available for the various category winners.
