All roads lead to Daingean

THE 4th Annual Faile Vintage Club Tractor run will take place this Sunday, March 11. It will commence from Seery’s pub Daingean with registration at 10am.

THE 4th Annual Faile Vintage Club Tractor run will take place this Sunday, March 11. It will commence from Seery’s pub Daingean with registration at 10am.

The route this year will travel to the ‘Hazel’ in Rahugh then on to ‘Ballycommon House’. Refreshments will be served at each venue. Adrian Brereton of Operation Transformation will officially open this years run on a 1952 high Nellie.

The local charities to benefit from the run are - Down Syndrome Offaly which provides home teachers to pre-primary and primary children to improve their education and  Living Links Offaly which provides assertive outreach support to the suicide bereaved.  

The Tug-o-war competitions will commence at 2.30pm, with weigh in taking place at 2pm sharp. The categories are 680kg, +750kg, +pub and youths. The Seery family have kindly sponsored a perpetual cup for the 680 category. On the evening there will also be a barbeque with all proceeds going to the chosen charities, with the entertainment provided by the ever popular ballad group Legacy.
