The official launch of the 25th Daingean Homecoming Festival will take place on Saturday, July 7 in Castlebarna Golf Club at 7.30pm.

There will be a BBQ on the night and music will be provided by Santa Fe.

The full programme of events for the special 25th anniversary will be announced on the night.

Tickets Cost €10 and are available locally. All support greatly appreciated.


The numbers drawn in the club lotto on Monday, June 18 last were 2, 3, 10 & 24. There was no jackpot winner and nine match three winners - Eamonn Hayes (c/o the Gaelic Bar), Margaret Spollen (c/o The Grove), Marie Comerford (c/o Eugene Hewson), Maggie Colgan (c/o Roisin Gallagher), Paul (c/o Skinner), P. F. E. (c/o Mick Matthews), Teresa Mary Feery (c/o Kathleen Connolly), Mick Scully (c/o Seerys) and Garry Harte (c/o Seerys). Next week’s jackpot remains at €15,600.

Junior ‘A’ Championship: Daingean 2-22 Ballycumber 0-7 - Daingean made it two wins out of two in the junior A championship with a comfortable win against Ballycumber last Sunday morning. The home side were in control throughout with goals from Colm Kilmurray and Charlie Hayes helping to seal a convincing win.

5km Fun Run

Daingean GAA in association with Offaly Sports Partnership are holding a fun run/walk on Sunday July 8 next commencing at 12 noon from the football field. All are welcome.
