The annual cemetery Mass will be held on Wednesday June 27 in Cooleygeoghegan at 8pm.

Cake sale

A cake sale will be held in Clonbullogue Hall at 3.15pm on Tuesday June 26 the proceeds of which will go towards the cost of providing a new photocopier for the local Primary school

Fun day

To maintain the sporting momentum underway in the community the second annual Fun day will be held on Sunday July 1st in Clonbullogue GAA grounds starting at 12.30pm. Registration forms are available and consent forms must be completed by parents of the underage children. Teams will be arranged and may be viewed in Killeen’s Gala later in the week.

Tidy Town’s

The 2012 Tidy Town’s campaign is well underway and it is hoped that all residents will make a determined effort to maintain a high standard which can be achieved by making one’s own area tidy and litter free.


Sincere sympathy is extended to the McCreanor and Canton following the unexpected death of Cora McCreanor who was interred recently and to the Coyne and Bennett families following bereavements last weekend


St Broughan’s Boxing Club will hold their fund raising draw in Richie’s Bar on June 30. Tickets are available at €2. Your support will be appreciated.

GAA underage

St Broughan’s send a big “ thank you” to John Broderick who freely gave of his time and experience when he ran a Poker night in Richie’s pub, Clonbullogue on our behalf. It was a very successful night raising much needed funds for our hosting of the National Feile Peil na n’Og.

Mick Smith won first prize, joint second were Kevin Quinn and Sean Fenlon while the best hand was had by Gerry Kelly.
