Tullamore dog walk on Easter Monday

PETMANIA and The Carers Association are inviting dog owners, families and friends to register for this year’s five kilometre National Dog Walk in Tullamore on Easter Monday.

PETMANIA and The Carers Association are inviting dog owners, families and friends to register for this year’s five kilometre National Dog Walk in Tullamore on Easter Monday.

The third Petmania National Dog Walk promises a fun day out while raising funds for Tullamore’s family carers.

The Petmania National Dog Walk has raised almost €100,000 over the past two years for The Carers Association and hopes to bring this up to €161,000 this year – representing €1 for every family carer in Ireland.

“The Petmania National Dog Walk is now a fixture on calendars across Tullamore. We are looking forward to a great day out and urge walkers, and their beloved pooches, to register now for this year’s walk. As well as helping family carers, there are some great prizes up for grabs too” said Emma Murphy, The Carers Association.

All funds raised go towards supporting counselling, respite and training services provided by The Carers Association for family carers. While helping carers, walkers are also in with a chance of winning some great prizes, from shopping vouchers to dog food, discounted pet insurance to luxury five-star holidays in one of Ireland’s top dog-friendly hotels, Harvey’s Point Hotel in Donegal.

Register now at www.nationaldogwalk.ie and at Petmania stores nationwide. Entry costs just €5 for a dog and owner or €10 for a dog and family (up to four people).

Late registration fee of €2.50 will apply for registrations taken after Friday, April 6.
