Tullamore BPW to celebrate 40th anniversary

THIS year is a special year for Tulllamore Business and Professional Womens Club as they will be celebrating their 40th anniversary.

THIS year is a special year for Tulllamore Business and Professional Womens Club as they will be celebrating their 40th anniversary.

A special dinner to celebrate the occasion will be held in May and past members are invited to attend. Further details later.

At the recently held AGM Gretta Flynn was elected as president. A very interested and varied programme of talks and events are planned for the coming year. This month international night will be celebrated worldwide in BPW clubs in over 80 countries. Tullamore club are holding this event in the Bridge House Hotel on Wednesday February 23 at 8pm. Guests on the night will be Larissa Tormey who will entertain with Russian songs and music and a club member who will talk about her recent travels.

In April Jenifer Goff from the National Museum Collins Barracks will speak about Eileen Gray, furniture designer and architect. Later in the year there will be a return visit from Dr Annnoelle Bennett who will give a talk on musical appreciation. New members are always welcome.
