Sincere sympathy is extended to the Hume Family following the death of Tony Hume in the United States where he had resided for many years.

Eucharistic Congress

In preparation for the International Eucharistic Congress which takes place from June 10 to 17 all parishes are invited to take part in the Kildare and Leighlin Diocesan Congress which will be held in Carlow on Friday evening and Saturday, March 9 and 10.

Information on the format of the Congress was given at Masses in the parish last weekend and interested parishioners should complete the booking form attached to the brochure. The Primary Schools project has been completed and will form part of a Diocesan banner.


The death has taken place of Mrs Eileen Flood, Clonavoe, Clonbullogue. Wife of the late Paddy Flood she was cared for by the Matron and Staff of Ofalia House, Edenderry in recent years following the onset of a long term illness. She is survived by her sons Pat and William, daughters Margaret and Carmel, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and grandchildren to whom sympathy is extended. Interment took place in Bracknagh cemetery on Friday last


Angel and healing classes will be held in Clonbullogue Hall commencing on Friday, February 24 from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Enrolling on February 24 at 7.30pm or call to the parish hall on Saturday mornings to enrol with Ms Marie McCabe, phone 085 7573992.


The Marky Carroll Memorial Cup Pike fishing competition will be held on Sunday, February 26 fishing from 11am to 5pm. All members are invited to attend, starting point is the picnic area, all anglers must check in prior to the competition. All funds raised will go to Our Lady’s Childrens’ Hospital, Crumlin. A big turn-out is expected

Junior result, first Jordan Hynan, second Darragh Lawlor, trophy for juniors sponsored by Hiker’s taxis.

Perpetual cup shield winner was David Sheils, second Tony Flavin, third James Lawlor. Junior, first Jordan Hynan.


Clonbullogue Development Association will commence their weekly draw in April, the tractor run will be held in May and the Steam Threshing on the last Sunday in August.

Card drive

Clonbullogue Parish Council are requesting parishioners to host house games to assist with the disposal of card drive tickets, the card drive takes place on Saturday, March 31. Please contact your Parish Council representative.
