THERE was good news for Kilcormac at Offaly County Council with the news that the long awaited extension of the graveyard can now take place.
Director of Services Declan Kirrane sought approval from members for the transfer of 0.2ha of lands to the Kilcormac Parish Committee for the sum of €13,000, to which the council agreed. This will enable the future extension of the burial ground.
“This is badly needed in the area. The graveyard is now at capacity,” said Cllr John Leahy in welcoming the news.
