ST Catherine’s Church, Tullamore will hold an evening of ‘Songs of Praise’ on Saturday November 12 at 7.30pm.

The event which is modeled on the popular BBC programme of the same name features hymns and other sacred music.

It is not a religious service but rather an evening of music for everyone who likes to sing, no matter how well. The evening of popular hymns will also feature a number of choral items from the Sacred Heart School Junior Choir.

Tickets for the evening at €10 each will be available at the door. Proceeds will go towards the fitting out of the new parish centre, the newly completed Charleville Centre at Church Avenue and to the St Vincent de Paul Society in Tullamore.

This will be an event to be enjoyed by everyone who enjoys singing. It will last approximately 90 minutes. Please feel free to bring a cushion if you wish, church pews are not noted for their comfort.

Parking around the church is limited but there is parking beside the new parish centre in Church Avenue from where there is pedestrian access to the church. Church Avenue is first left after Dunne’s Church Road shopping centre when coming from Tullamore town centre.
