PREPARATIONS are well under way for this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Tullamore.
The Parade takes place as usual on March 17 and starts this year at 11.15am from the usual starting place at the Bridge Centre Car Park.
“We will be writing to all local organisations in the coming week but we are asking everyone to start with their preparation for what will be a great event again,” said Sean O’ Brien, Parade PRO.
“This year is the Centenary of the founding of St Colmcilles Pipe Band and we will be honouring them in a special way by inviting them to be our special Guests Of Honour and to officially open the parade,” added Cllr O’Brien.
He said the theme for this year’s parade is “Music Through The Ages In Tullamore”.
“We are asking anyone involved in music in any way to come and join in the parade,” he said.
